Lorelei Bayne

Lorelei Bayne (Co-Artistic Director) came to the Sacramento area after fourteen years of professional work in New York City. She has an MFA in Dance from New York University/Tisch School of the Arts and a BA in Dance from the University of South Florida.

Her choreography has been presented in venues, festivals and universities throughout New York City, as well as in Connecticut, Philadelphia, Florida and Virginia and California. She performed professionally with Melanie Stewart Dance Theater, Darla Stanley, and Karen Bamonte Danceworks in Philadelphia, and in New York City- Elizabeth Streb/Ringside, Clarinda MacLow’s cml performance group, FREEFALL,ltd, and many independent NYC dancemakers. She has also performed in the works of Jose Limon, Mark Morris, Ann Reinking, May O’Donnell, and Mark Dendy, among many others.

Bayne was associate producer and camera operator on a digital video dance documentary with director Khalda Logan in 2003, And They Flew… which was presented as part of the 2004 Dance on Camera Festival at Lincoln Center in New York City, and has had public screenings in Florida, Connecticut and Virginia.
